UC San Diego Medical Center
University of California
In June 2010, Intelisyn was selected through a competitive RFQ/RFP and interview process to provide construction logistics coordination services for the Master Plan improvements on the UC San Diego Medical Center in La Jolla, California. The proposed services are currently projected to continue through 2016 and complete implementation of the Master Plan. The Medical Center master plan includes nearly $1B of construction development in close proximity to Thornton Hospital which rests on the near 100 acre La Jolla campus. The new buildings and improvements include a multi-level 1,350 stall parking garage, master plan utility infrastructure, the Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center, the Altman Clinical Translational Research Institute, Medical Office Building, Medical Center Switch Station, a Ground Level Interim Helipad, the Jacobs Medical Center Bed Tower and Jacobs Medical Center Central Utility Plant.
Intelisyn provides onsite staff assistance including a logistics coordinator, project engineer/field coordinator and administrative assistance. Intelisyn works with all project teams in a collaborative effort to develop work plans that minimize impacts to patients, staff, visitors and medical center operations while finding ways to allow for construction activities to continue. The key to successfully delivering work on the Medical Center campus includes collaborative communication, advanced planning and an extensive review process. Intelisyn manages the logistics coordination process through a series of project schedule reviews, logistics/phasing drawing development, communication protocols and coordination meetings with all project teams. Weekly meetings with Medical Center staff are held to ensure all project team logistics are approved prior to proceeding with work. |
