Intelisyn provided project management services to Palomar Health for the replacement hospital in Escondido, California. Services included assisting with the building structure, building envelope, interiors, medical equipment planning, complete FF&E package, California Department of Public Health approval process, and the final transition planning and move services.

Palomar Medical Center has been referred to as “The Hospital of the Future” because of its advances in clinical technology, attention to patient comfort and design for future expansion and flexibility.  The first phase of the master plan development consisted of an eleven story hospital tower, central plant, surface level parking, landscaping and roadway improvements.

The diagnostic and treatment center is home to some of the latest clinical technology within the surgery and procedures department.  There are eleven large operating rooms with daVinci robot equipment, anesthesia machines, heart and lung machines, and endoscopic and PACS integration.  There are forty-four single patient treatment rooms within the emergency department as well as its own dedicated CT and two dedicated imaging rooms.  The trauma center, with direct high speed elevator access from the roof top heliport, consists of both trauma and cardiac trauma rooms with the ability to provide treatment to ten trauma patients at any given time.  The pharmacy is equipped with a box picker, packager, and Riva Robot, which creates IV’s and syringes for the pharmacy staff.  The new Palomar Medical Center assisted their first patient on August 19, 2012.
