The campus boasts of expanded amenities including a library, art studio with kiln, billiards and card room, indoor swimming pool, fitness center, wellness center, cocktail lounge, beauty salon, mini-store, ATM machine, TV studio, business offices, a classroom and conference room. In addition, there is a rose garden, fountain, putting green and park within the community. Residents will enjoy satellite TV, high-speed internet access and website hosted community functions.
A state of the art wireless Emergency Call system is utilized within this community. This system consists of emergency call pendants for each resident, intercoms, emergency buttons and motion detectors. The Emergency Call system, when activated, sends a signal to a central computer monitoring station that will alert the appropriate facility or outside personnel to respond.
The Covington is located in the newly incorporated city of Aliso Viejo which is also a Shea Homes "planned community". This project faced a unique challenge as the Plan Check process was started with the County of Orange and completed with the City of Aliso Viejo. Essentially, this project required two (2) plan checks. Intelisyn assisted in developing relations with the new City of Aliso Viejo, and the County of Orange, to facilitate the plan check process.
Intelisyn provided a full range of Design/Construction Management services for this project, and additionally, developed a comprehensive FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment) product database to ensure that the facility acquired the most up-to-date products and amenities when opened in 2004. Intelisyn maintained an onsite, full time management presence.
