Northridge Hopsital Medical Center, Service Elevator Tower: Torque Down Test Piles

The first installation of Torque Down Piles on an OSHPD project is in progress at Northridge Hospital Medical Center. This video, produced by Clark Construction, shows the installation of the casings for the test piles.

The piles will support a new service elevator tower which is being installed in conjunction with a $68 million project to upgrade the facility to SPC 2 standards. The Torque Down Piles were selected for this application because of their ability to be installed in a tight space and their quiet installation procedure which doesn’t impact Medical Center operations.

Intelisyn is the construction manager on the project. Clark Construction is the design/build contractor.
