PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Renovations in 8 separate areas inside the existing Hospital (OSHPD 1 facility), and 2 other areas in a medical office building. The relocation of the Telecommunication Bunker was extremely complicated because this facility was the main hub for all of UC San Diego’s campus’ extremely critical systems that included phone operators, nurse call, code blue annunciation, med gas alarms, emergency generator system monitoring, fire alarm system and panel monitoring, main fiber distribution, security cameras, and other services. The relocation of the programs in the existing West Wing facility included Clinical Technology (formally Biomed), Environmental Services, health storage facilities, resident work rooms, break and locker rooms, and pathology suites.
